Whether you are moving to London from the United States or from another country, living in London presents some unique challenges and opportunities for expatriates. We have compiled a list of resources that you may find of interest.   • LondonSports: The web site for the London Baseball Association (Little League), the London Basketball Association, and the London Football (Soccer) Association. This volunteer organization runs team sports programs for children of all nationalities.
  • TimeOut: This popular weekly magazine publicizes a list of children's activities.

  • ACS International Schools (ACS): Three campuses close to London offer classes for students from 3-18 years old. Programs leading to American university acceptance or the International Baccalaureate are offered.
  • American School in London (ASL): An independent co-educational school located in North London, grades pre-kindergarten through high school.
  • European Council of International Schools (ECIS): This web site contains an online directory of international schools.
  • Floodlight: Search the "official guide" for both part-time and full-time courses in London.
  • ISIS: The Independent Schools Information Service provides a comprehensive online guide to 1,300 independent schools in the U.K.
  • Southbank International School An independent co-educational school with campuses in both Kensington and Hampstead.

  • Kensington Chelsea Women's Club A volunteer organization bringing women from all over London together for social and educational purposes.

  • Petroleum Women's Club The Petroleum Women's Club is a social organization for women whose husbands/partners are involved in any aspect of the petroleum industry, including women employed within the industry.

  • Britain USA: This site is published by the Press and Public Affairs Office of the British Embassy in Washington DC and offers information about travelling and working in Britain for United States citizens.
  • Expat Exchange: A general resource for American expatriates living abroad. Articles about financial and cultural issues are offered as well as moral support through "Expat Networks" such as the "Spouse Forum."
